Resha means fiber. The smallest unit of the textile process, which passes through the hands of one craftsper-son to the other, carrying forward the Indian tradition of the hand-made, to create pieces that have abundance of life and spontaneity.
Resha is conceived in November 2013 with a vision of exploring and enjoying the beautiful and rich tra-dition of handloom weaving of the country. The firm is into designing and making authentic hand woven sarees , stoles and duppattas.
Resha aspires to showcase the wonderful art of weaving that our country has pre-served through centuries. The art, that has been passed on from generations and runs in the families of artisans that we work with. When most of the coun-tries have given way to industrialization of textiles making thereby making hand weaving extinct, ours is one of the few countries that still have tried to keep it alive. Resha looks at hand weaving not just as a means of livelihood but as an employment generator with fair commis-sions to the weavers.
