Aari embroidery is a traditional Indian hand embroidery technique known for its fine chain stitch work, intricate detailing, and rich ornamental patterns.
It has a distinct characterstic to it- both in technique & appreace. Aari embroidery came to Kashmir with Persians, is said to have a royal patronage. The work is very colorful & derives its designs from elements in the scenic beauty of the land.
