An Ajrakh Block Printed Pure Cotton Dupatta carries a quiet sense of assurance—the kind that comes from something made slowly and with intent. The patterns don’t just decorate; they hold structure and rhythm, shaped through repeated, careful processes. When worn, it doesn’t overpower your presence but settles into it, adding depth and a certain emotional weight to your overall look. (Size - 220x 88 cms.)

Ajrakh Block Printing Kutch

The origin of Ajrakh can probably be older than we can imagine. Excavation sites of Indus Valley Civilization give evidence that Ajrakh was possibly one of the oldest printing methods the Indian subcontinent. The etymology of “Ajrakh” can be traced to the Sanskrit word “a-jharat”, which means that which does not fade. Since indigo is one of the main colours of this textile, it is possible that Ajrak got its name from “Azrak”, which means “blue” in Arabic.
